Technical Engagements

Medium (500-1000) Pharmaceutical

Designed & implemented a multisite Citrix virtual desktop environment for internal employees. The solution accounted for the geographical diversity of the business’s offices and the need to allow employees to work from anywhere. The design met the goals of increasing productivity and reducing support calls by replacing outdated hardware, software, and an unsupported Windows OS. It also allowed for agility in deploying software and security updates.

Large (5000+) Financial Services

Migrated client’s end-of-life Citrix NetScaler hardware to new hardware while implementing Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM) and pooled licensing. This project included migrating to the latest firmware 13.1 and Advanced Policies. Updated procedures and policies for the client to improve their team’s NetScaler knowledge and abilities (reducing the need to open tickets, and increasing operational uptime).

Medium (1000-5000) Real Estate

Designed and migrated a multisite Citrix deployment with NetScalers with a parallel deployment for mission-critical applications. Required minimal downtime for migration and required coordination with numerous teams (networking, security, business owners, project management office).

Small (500-1000) Staffing Services Company

Assessed the business’s requirements and quickly replaced a MDM implementation that was unable to meet the business’s needs. IBM MaaS360 was implemented in a short timeframe with minimal downtime and disruption to the business and employees. It overcame the challenges of the original solution and allowed for a seamless transition.

Large (5000+) Pharmaceutical

Designed & implemented a cloud-based Citrix virtual desktop and NetScaler environment for 3rd party access and internal employees. The solution required Azure-based workloads and upskilling the staff on Azure’s capabilities. The design and implementation met the goals of the project and was under budget despite numerous Azure architectural changes as the security team became involved. This deployment has now scaled to 3000+ active daily users in multiple Azure regions with redundancy. We then moved to a cost optimization phase to identify methods and process updates to reduce costs which resulted in a 33% cost reduction from the prior year. In a separate project for the same customer, he was responsible for addressing the client’s broken data migration process. He was able to automate a new solution that reduced migration time (reducing outage time needed) while enhancing security of the migration process.
