Richard Florence serves as the Director of Presales for the Digital Workplace practice at e360. With over 30 years of IT experience, predominantly in a consulting capacity, Richard possesses the expertise necessary to comprehend clients’ business requirements and develop sophisticated solutions that not only meet but often exceed their needs. Over the past two decades at e360, he has accumulated extensive knowledge in sales engineering, architecture/design, and implementation.

Richard has also overseen several technical practices, including Microsoft Core Infrastructure, Managed Services, and Modern Infrastructure. In these roles, he has provided leadership, guidance, and mentorship to numerous consultants. His track record demonstrates a consistent ability to deliver solutions that streamline clients’ environments, reduce complexity, and optimize operational capital costs. Simultaneously, he prioritizes productivity, mobility, and security considerations.

Personal Summary

Before joining e360, Richard held a position within corporate IT at Quest Software in 2002. There, he served as a Messaging administrator, establishing secure messaging policies for the organization both in the United States and internationally. Additionally, he actively contributed to the organization’s go-to-market efforts in the Active Directory and Exchange server migration tool space.

Richard’s primary area of focus currently lies in sales engineering within the Microsoft 365 stack including Microsoft security and compliance, collaboration, identity and endpoint management technologies. He demonstrates a deep understanding of both cloud-based and on-premises Microsoft technologies. Specifically, Richard is well-versed in managing Active Directory, Exchange Server, and the Systems Center suite. His proficiency extends beyond individual components to encompass complex migration scenarios—whether transitioning to, from, or within cloud environments. As a result, he is adept at architecting migration solutions tailored to clients undergoing acquisitions, mergers, or divestitures.
