Tate's Bio

IT Consultant with over twelve years of Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations, integration, and administration and fifteen years of total IT experience. I have extensive experience in networking, server management, virtualization, end-user support, data management systems, CRM/ERP systems, program management, and presales, in addition to a wide breadth of other IT concentrations.

I am a Microsoft Professional but have experience in Linux, AWS, and Google IaaS, PaaS, data center, and SaaS environments. I have migrated over 150 Exchange and 80 SharePoint environments to Microsoft 365 in various different industries worldwide ranging from 500 users to 35,000 users. I also have extensive experience in DevOps and automation as well as security and compliance.

Personal Summary

I have worked for various organizations of many sizes ranging from ground-level startups to multinational corporations. I am always looking for ways to improve the end user experience and ensure that operations run optimally and smoothly. I love training and empowering users on the technologies available to them and am a lifelong learner. My goal is to ensure a seamless experience for all stakeholders and have some fun along the way.

Technical Engagements

Enterprise (20,000+) State Government

I was a lead architect for a cloud modernization project for over 20,000 users. I lead the SPO, Exchange, and Azure project initiatives and also worked on various automation and scripting projects to assist in streamlining existing business processes.

Enterprise (30,000+) Manufacturing

I lead a team on a multiyear Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Exchange project that updated multiple existing manufacturing applications to a combination of Power Platform and Dynamics 365 applications. We also streamlined and optimized many existing processes on various platforms.

Large (2,500) Hospitality Services

I was a virtual CTO for a firm that managed over ten hotels. I helped the organization embrace M365 and Azure and worked on various different cloud projects for multiple hotels and hospitality management companies.

Large (5000) Hospital

I was the lead architect for cloud services for a large hospital and hospice. I helped this organization migrate from a multicloud environment to M365 and Azure and also trained various staff members on how to maintain these systems. I was also heavily involved in the security and compliance initiatives for this organization.

Enterprise (35,000+) Fintech

I was the lead architect for a multinational financial firm and was heavily involved in various mergers and acquisitions. I helped lead an international team on various AD, M365, network, telephony, and AWS projects. I also assisted in the automation of various different applications and processes.
